Arrive in Leh and rest at the hotel for acclimatization. Keep the first day light because of the high altitude. Enjoy a quiet evening and prepare for the western Ladakh route.

Drive through the Sham Valley to Alchi, known for its historic Buddhist art and monastery complex. Continue towards Lamayuru, famous for its dramatic moonland terrain and ancient monastery. Proceed towards Kargil through the scenic mountain route.

Lamayuru to Kargil
Explore Kargil and its surrounding landscape before beginning the return journey towards Leh. The road crosses high mountain terrain with scenic stops depending on weather and timing. Reach Leh by evening if road conditions allow.
