Varanasi to Sarnath – Sightseeing
After breakfast, depart from Varanasi and travel towards Sarnath. After breakfast, travel to Sarnath, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India. Explore the archaeological area around Dhamek Stupa and other remains associated with the ancient monastic settlement, and visit the museum when open. Return to Varanasi later and keep the evening free for the ghats, local markets or rest. Allow time for the journey and hotel check-in so the sightseeing remains comfortable.
